PlayPosit
Description
PlayPosit is an online learning tool used to create and share interactive video lessons. Teachers begin with any video content and transform what is traditionally passive content into an active experience for students. Teachers time-link activities that students engage with and as the video progresses the content is broken down into manageable components - increasing student engagement. PlayPosit can also be used for assessment purposes as students' answers are recorded and turned into numerical data for the instructors to see.

Justification for Using this Tool
Justification 1- ARCS Model
Justification 1- ARCS Model
- PlayPosit aligns with the ARCS Model theory as users are motivated by interacting with a form of media that is familiar to them and one which uses language that is relevant to them (Keller, 2010).
- PlayPosit aligns with Behaviourist theories, as the questions that are incorporated throughout the video act as a positive reinforcement for the learner allowing them to receive instant feedback of their learning.
- PlayPosit aligns well with the Multimedia Principle as the videos the students watch are connected to the text that they get to read, therefore making it easier for them to understand the content provided.
- Instructors can create their own videos by physically being in it or have their voice be heard, which would then allow students to connect with the content better and enable the students to engage more in the learning.
- Learners have the ability to control the pacing of the videos, have the ability to rewind, pause and go back to re check their answers as needed.
