Justification 1- Connectivism
Justification 1- Connectivism
- Edmodo aligns with Connectivism because it increases the opportunities for collaborative learning through discussion.
- A social constructivist-learning environment is created when a teacher, Edmodo and the necessary tools are all used appropriately. Giving students and teachers the opportunity to enter into a cycle of constructing their own knowledge allows learners to test their own truths and reconstruct if necessary.
- Edmodo allows students to create their own content, initiate discussion and learn from each other online. On Edmodo, students can post videos, inquire and collaborate together.
- Teachers on Edmodo are able to create subgroups within larger groups to individualize the learning experience. Teachers can group students according to understanding, learning style, and interests to benefit student learning.
